gsdboss (GSD: get shit done) is a home page for you and the people you work with: one page to open in the morning that has your links, your tasks, your email and your team, and keeps them up to date by itself while it’s open.

Everyone gets their own dashboard made of widgets. Pick the ones you want, put them in the order you like, and give the page your own colors. Groups tie people together: everyone in a group shares its links, its task list and its chat.

What’s on it

• Links: your own, and shared ones for each of your groups, each with the site’s icon.
• Tasks: a to-do list of your own and one shared list per group.
• Chat & video: talk with your groups as you type, see who’s on right now, and start a video call next to the conversation.
• Email: read, reply, forward and send from your mailboxes, with attachments.
• Camera: take or pick photos and email them in one go.
• Timer & alarms, with a sound of your choice (or your own).
• Weather, stocks, news from the sources you pick, a search box, notes, the calendar and the newest bookmarks.

How it’s run

• gsdboss runs on its own server. Accounts, settings, tasks and chat are kept there, not with an outside service.
• Accounts are made by an admin; there’s no public sign-up. Ask whoever runs your group for one.
• Video goes straight between browsers when it can, and through gsdboss’s own relay when it can’t, encrypted either way.
• The site is updated often. An open dashboard loads the new version by itself and tells you what changed.
